| Abstract♠︎： | In this talk we will discuss random partitions and a class of partition-valued random process, the coalescent. Connections between Kingman's representation, the Bolthausen-Sznitman coalescent, and Derrida's random energy model will be explained. Several asymptotic results will also be presented. |
